Morning Routines: Best Way To Start The Day
Tips, Hacks, Ideas
This week on Tips, Hacks, Ideas we're chatting all about the best way to start the morning routines.
On average, it takes more than 2 months before a new behaviour becomes automatic — 66 days to be exact (James Clear - Atomic Habits)
I believe this completely, when Goldie was about 8 weeks old I started a new morning routine that included showering, having a smoothie, pumping breast milk, a quick online post-natal pilates class, tidying up the kitchen and putting a load of washing on / putting washing away. My goal was to have everything done by 9am to keep myself on track.
At first it was a huge struggle to get through these tasks efficiently, I even had a checklist in my notes on my phone because baby brain is real and I would always get distracted and forget what I was doing.
Now this routine is habit and I move through these tasks on auto. With some self care ticked off and a tidy space I feel like I can start my day with a clear mind.
We'd love to know, have you created a new habit / broken an old one?

Both Al and I love timber and we love to cook, so when it came to designing and building our kitchen we wanted to create a functional space and felt beautiful to be in. The kitchen has become the heart of our home, with our island bench the place we all gather around.
In the heart of our home lies a space where functionality seamlessly intertwines with style – our compact European laundry. Today, we're excited to share the design details and thoughtful choices we made to create this space.
