Farm-Stay Holiday In Our Own Backyard
Breathe in and breathe out!
Freshwater Creek Cottages is hands-down one on my favourite places on earth. When we first moved to Freshy I jumped on Instagram, searched the location tag and realised there was a farm nearby that had just welcomed a pile of baby piglets… naturally I reached out and asked if I could come by and visit.
That is when I met Marissa, Farmer Phillip and the entire Freshwater Creek Cottages family.
What a hidden gem… only an hour from Melbourne’s Westgate Bridge, close to the epic Surf Coast beaches and on the way to the Great Ocean Road. The property hosts seven cottages which all overlook dreamy farm vistas, one small cottage (pictured below) perfect for a romantic getaway and the larger cottages that will fit the whole family.
I’ve spent a lot time at FWC since moving to the area and have become great friends with everyone on the farm (including all of the animals and every time I drive down the tree-lined driveway and through the property it puts a big smile on my face. You’ll find kids zooming around on bikes and trikes off to feed the animals while the parents are stretched out on daybeds overlooking the paddocks.
Honestly, I couldn’t recommend it more - a super easy and affordable holiday so close the the city!
